Grumpy Old Women 2 – 19 May 2010

Following a sell-out tour Grumpy Old Women 2 Chin Up Britain has made its way to the West End and last night Whatsonstage.com theatregoers got the chance to see the Grumpys in full force. Righting the country’s wrongs and using all manner of props from charts, to grumpometers and even an eye rolling, jaw dropping portrait the Grumpys had us laughing out loud with tales of The Menopause, sex and diets.

Jenny Eclair, one of the Grumpys and co-writer of this show is hilarious as she pole dances at a bus stop while Susie Blake’s call for a Royal Wedding (or funeral for that matter) was one of the best comic moments. Wendi Peters is fantastic as she rushes about the stage and most everyone can understand her bags for life despair!

All three ladies joined us after the show for a Q&A that was just as funny, if not even more, than the show itself. Jenny Eclair talks about how this project came about while Blake and Peters give us some insight into why they wanted to be Grumpys. They also told us a little about reactions to the show across the country and their own favourite bits of the show!

Please do feel free to email your comments and thoughts about the play, as well as any photos you have of the event and the evening through to feedback@whatsonstage.com, we love to hear from you.

Thanks for joining us for this event, and do check the homepage to keep up to date on all of our upcoming Outings.
